When I started up Purr Tapes I wanted every release to be something that I could relate to and actually want to listen to. (So far so good).
When Dylan Howe, aka Dreamsvrfer, sent me over his digital New Cursive release i had it on repeat for the next week to come. When he asked if i’d be interested in doing a limited-run cassette release i jumped at the opportunity…

Hazy, lackadaisical, and downright sublime, these 5 songs have been keeping warm on these cold Oregon days. The potential here seems endless, and as effortless as the progressions are, there still seems to be so much intent and confidence in each song.

His mix of intimate guitar and lyrics set the tone for an ethereal walk into the light of love and death. Supremely heart-felt and adventurous while still remaining grounded and incredibly relevant. Brian will be headed out on a West Coast tour starting December 8th in Portland, OR. We will be doing a limited pressing of about 30 cassettes, most of which will be sent out on the tour. The rest will be available for purchase under the releases page!
